Statement of Faith

Word of God
We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God. We accept the entire Bible as the Word of God in its original manuscript, wholly inspired, absolutely infallible, and our source of spiritual light and truth. It is our source of revelation of God, the knowledge of salvation, the origin of all things, and of the hereafter. It is the final court of appeals on all points of doctrine, life, and Godliness.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 2 Peter 1:21 Hebrews 4:12-13

The Person of God
We believe in one God, manifested as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; eternal in existence, and equal in glory, majesty, and power. We believe God to be the Creator of all things and the Author of eternal redemption. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is man's only and all sufficient Savior. We believe Christ to be God, manifested in the flesh as the Son of God, the Creator of all things with the Father, and as the appointed Judge of all men. Colossians 1:12-19 Acts 17:31. We believe in the virgin birth of Christ, His death on behalf of lost humanity, His appointed burial, His bodily resurrection, His ascension on high, His high-priestly ministry in heaven, and His imminent return to the Earth to receive the righteous, both living and dead, and to execute judgment upon the wicked. We believe that Christ is the reigning King of the established everlasting Kingdom among men. We acknowledge the Holy Spirit as Comforter, as the Divine Agency of regeneration, as the Revealer of Christ and His work on the Cross, and as the Distributor of gifts and graces given to the Church.

The Grace of God
Man was created good and upright; for God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. Genesis 1:26-27; 2:17; 3:6 ; Romans 5:12-19. Man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Hebrews 10:1-25. Salvation is received through repentance from sin and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God, according to the hope of eternal life. Luke 24:47 John 3:3 Romans 5:1,10,13 Ephesians 2:8-9 Titus 2:11; 3:5-7. The inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit. Romans 8:16. The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness. Ephesians 4:24, Titus 2:12.

The Two Ordinances
We believe that Jesus Christ established, observed, and commanded the Church to observe two ordinances. Water Baptism: as a visible representation of our death, burial, and resurrection with Christ. Matthew 3:13-17 Romans 6:1-10 Galatians 3:26-27 Colossians 2:12 The Lord's Supper: as a means of fellowship of the spiritual body of Christ, and to partake of the spiritual benefits available to new covenant believers through the reverent observance of this perpetual ordinance. Luke 22:7-23, 1 Corinthians 11:17-34

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, following the new birth, with the Bible evidences of; the speaking with other tongues; the endowment with power to witness; the accompanying gifts and fruit of the Spirit. Acts 1:4, 1:8, 2: 1-13, 10:44-46,19:1-6 Luke 24: 49 1 Corinthians 12:5-11 Galatians 5:22-23 Romans 5:5

The Universal Church
We believe that every born again believer is a member of the body of Christ, which is His Church. Colossians 1:18 Ephesians 1:20-23 1 Corinthians 12:12-13

Sanctification
Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and a dedication to God. Romans 12:1-2 1 Thessalonians 5:23 Hebrews 13:12. The scriptures teach a life of "holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord", Hebrews 12:14. By the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to obey the command: “Be holy, for I am Holy", 1 Peter 1:15-16 Sanctification is made evident in the believer by his identification and union with Christ in His death and resurrection, and by faith reckoning daily upon the fact of that union, and by offering every faculty continually to the dominion of the Holy Spirit. Romans 6:1-11,13; 8:1-2,13 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 Galatians 2:20 Philippians 2:12-13 Titus 2:12-14 James 4:4 1 Peter 1:15-16

Healing
We believe in the spiritual gifts, that they are for the Church throughout the Church age, and that healing and miracles are part of the new covenant. 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 Through the gifts of healing and miracles, the laying on of hands, the anointing with oil, or by simple faith alone, physical well being, healing and deliverance from pain are privileges of Christians throughout the Gospel age. Mark 16:17-18 James 5:13-16 1 Peter 2:24

Evangelism
We recognize the obligation of Christians to spread the Gospel to those who have not received Christ or have not heard the message of salvation. Mark 16: 15-16 This must be accomplished by preaching the Word, prevailing prayer, a living example, and by the obedient giving of Christians. Matt. 28:18-20 Mark 16:15-16 Acts 1:8 1 Corinthians 9:7-23

The Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the second, imminent, and personal coming of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Acts 1:11 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 2 Thessalonians 1: 7-10 Titus 2:12-14
